Somos jóvenes quizá demasiado. Demasiado ambiciosos para ponerle punto final a nuestros planes de destino, para elegir el camino a tomar y dejar de estudiar el mapa; Demasiado complejos como para prescindir de la chance, demasiado orgullosos para ser uno más.

Pero nuestros amores son dos viejos reyes… cascarrabias por dolores de heridas de pasadas batallas, exhaustos de vejez. Encerrados en una habitacion donde el silencio solo se corta con un suspiro refunfúñante que invoca a tiempos pasados, tiempos donde las batallas eran reales y la sangre corría espesa. Y, dirigiendo caballerías imaginarias hacia el enemigo, arengando a un cuartel fantasma, pasan los dos ancianos en tronos opuestos del gran salón. Ni siquiera con fuerzas para levantarse.

Que ironía… Jóvenes que no se animan a dar el primer paso cargando viejos que ya no pueden darlos.
